What "cooperative" means.
Precisely.
There's a legal structure called a European Cooperative Society, an SCE.
On Time Mobility will be one. Not for branding or whitewashing, but
because it's the only structure that does what we're describing.
- One member, one vote
-
Not one euro, one vote. Not one share, one vote.
One member — whether you joined on day one or day three
hundred — one vote. Democratic governance is written into
the statute, not the marketing.
- Members set the direction
-
Pricing, expansion, product priorities — these are decisions
made collectively. Not by a board answerable to external investors.
By the people using the platform.
- Transparent financials
-
Members receive the cooperative's financial statements.
Governance minutes are shared. You can see where the money goes.
That's not a feature we're adding. That's EU cooperative law.
- Better Tech Lab Ltd is building it
-
Better Tech Lab Ltd (UK) is the company developing the technology
and founding the cooperative. The SCE is the entity you'll
eventually join as a member. BTL operates the waitlist and
early platform until the SCE is formally registered in Luxembourg, in 2026.
